Parachute and Marine Companies

Notes
British - the tables omit individual weapons, rifles and pistols, but given the number of unallocated Sten Guns at Battalion it would be impossible to say who actually carried what. Taken from table I/240/1 dated 28th February 1944.
American - taken from T/O 7-37 dated February 17th 1942, incorporating amendments of 24th February 1944. US Parachute units were highly active in amending their officially sanctioned organisation to meet the requirements of the task in hand. Given that, I do not doubt that anyone who has read about their exploits in detail will find numerous grounds to query the accuracy of the official organisation under combat conditions. This is just what the US Army said a Parachute Infantry Company should look like in June 1944...
German - after having a go at interpreting the information given in the US Army Handbook on German Military Forces, I can now add the correct version! Piet Duits has been researching German unit organisations for some years now and has been kind enough to share some of his findings with me. This one is of particular interest, as it is the only official table I have ever seen for a German airborne unit. This replaces the previous 'provisional' version I posted, and boy was I out in some places...
