Light Battalion - with twelve towed 10.5-cm howitzers, divided into three Batteries with four guns per Battery or two Batteries with six guns per Battery.

Medium Battalion – with twelve towed 15-cm howitzers, divided into three Batteries with four guns per Battery.

Armoured Battalion - with twelve self-propelled 10.5-cm howitzers in two Batteries each of six guns, and six 15-cm self-propelled howitzers in one Battery.

Anti-tank Battalion - one Company with twelve towed 7.5-cm guns in three Platoons of four guns each.  Two Companies each of ten or fourteen self-propelled equipments, in three Platoons each of three or four guns and a Headquarters of one or two.

Flak Battalion - two Batteries each of four or six 8.8-cm guns and one Battery of twelve 2-cm guns in three Platoons of four guns each.

Points of note

As ever there was always room for amendment from the above.  A handful of formations had more than one Armoured Panzer Grenadier Battalion.  Certain Divisions included assault guns in their Panzer Battalions to make up for shortages.  Some Divisions included a Battery of four 10-cm guns in their 15-cm howitzer Battalion, while other Divisions might have a Battalion of 17-cm guns.
